FISHERS AT SCHOOL

Brent has completed his first year at Canterbury University studying engineering. He passed all of his exams with very good grades. In 2005 he was in his fifth year at Shirley Boys' High School. He was a prefect and captain of the 'A' basketball team. He made the '90's Club' for his exam results.

In 2000 Brent was awarded a Leadership Award by Altrusa / Rotary. We are very proud of him for that.

Paula went to a night class at SBHS to learn upholstery. She has recovered our ageing lounge suite so that now it is our number one suite. She now goes to a woodworking class. She has made a tray and a CD rack with recycled rimu timber. Her current projects include building tables from recycled rimu. She has even talked Robert into buying a bench saw at home.

Simon has finished his degree at Canterbury University  (BSc - Computer Science). He did very well in all of his exams and assignments. That's Simon in the photo after his graduation.

Wade was in the seventh form in 2001. He went to school for his sport so we did not expect great results.

Robert has resigned from the Parent Teacher Association after nine years, the last 5 as President and has recently completed his third term on the Board Of Trustees so that keeps him busy and involved with the school as well so all in all the Fisher name was quite well known at SBHS.
